American Airlines has admitted new plans to begin daily flights between Manchester Airport and New York JFK Airport.
The new flights will begin next summer and the announcement comes just a week after rival airline Delta revealed that they will be axing their daily flights from Manchester to New York JFK from January 7th.
Manchester Airport had predicted that Delta Airlines would relaunch the route again next summer but this now seems unlikely after the announcement by American Airlines.
The new flights will depart from Manchester at 11:10am, arriving at JFK at 13:50 local time. The return journey will depart from JFK at 19:40 and arrive at Manchester at 7:55am the following day.
