airport_comp.pngOver 2 million Britons have booked up a holiday for this Easter and over 600,000 of them will be travelling through London Gatwick.

The number of people travelling over the Easter weekend is actually lower than in other years as the school holidays are split this year with the majority of schools breaking up for the Easter weekend and then breaking up for their usual 2-week break next month.

More adults will be flying away this Easter break. As it is early this year, many can top up their tans or go riding the slopes earlier. Holidays are cheaper than they normally would be and many have taken advantage of this.

ABTA has urged all passengers to ensure that any valuable purchases made when abroad are packed in the hand luggage when returning home.
