070327c_lg.jpgIt is expected that British Airways will be names as the official airline sponsor of the London 2012 Olympic games.

It is expected to cost £50 million and they would then be a tier-one domestic partner.

The announcement is likely to be made next week. It is not just British Airways that are becoming sponsers. You will also find Lloyds TSB, Adidas and EDF Energy acting as tier-one sponsors.

British Airways are also set to end their sponsorship of the London Eye in February, claiming that the partnership had just come to a ‘natural end’.
