Japan Airlines had one of their Boeing 747′s grounded at Los Angeles International Airport yesterday after the engine sucked up a large baggage cart.

The plane was ready to depart as the pilot finished all of his checks but police appeared on the runway, stopping the aircraft.

An investigation is on-going, however it is thought that the ground staff parked the cart to close to the jets engine.

No injuries were reported among the passengers, however many were left stranded for the night until their rescheduled flight today.
