Birmingham International Airport was better than any other major UK airport in the last quarter of 2007 when it came to the highest number of on time scheduled flights.
The CAA showed that 80% of the scheduled flights that operated out of Birmingham left on time. The national average was only 69%, and the airport’s own percentage rose by 3% since 2006.
Birmingham International Airport works closely with the airlines to ensure that delays are kept to a minimum if they occur at all. The Airport spokes people are said to be very pleased with the figures released by the CAA.
When it came to charter flights, the airport did have an average delay time of around 1 minutes, however this was still five minutes shorter than the national average.
