Bmi are cutting two flights a week from its Heathrow to Tel Aviv route. A service currently operates two flights a day between the destinations.

From November, only one flight a day will be offered on Fridays and Saturdays. Bmi are blaming the reduction on stiff competition and a fall in demand for the flights.

easyJet earlier announced that it plans to offer a 5-time weekly service between London Luton and Tel Aviv.

easyJet’s new services will commence from November the 2nd with low fares.

easyJet is posing a challenge to other airlines such as bmi, El Al and British Airways.

Bmi have also revealed plans to cut their eight daily flights from London Heathrow to Belfast down to seven.
