Brit’s are determined to carry on with their original holiday plans despite warnings about the danger that it is doing to the environment.

There have been warnings about the high levels of carbon emissions that a long haul flight can produce and yet only 16% of Brit’s have said that they are prepared to adjust their holiday plans.

Over 50% of people believe that international flights are bad for the environment, but no one wants to change their holiday plans.

Travel expert, Bob Atkinson, said that it is unrealistic to expect people to give up foreign holidays.

More than 92% of Brit’s admitted that they do not take green issues into account when booking a holiday. A further 40% then went on to say that they would not consider taking a holiday in the UK as it is too expensive.

If UK breaks were more affordable then people may start to think about green issues and the planet before they book a foreign holiday.
