Between 22nd July and 8th August, the Great British public will be flocking to some of the top holiday destinations throughout Spain, Portugal, Cyprus, Turkey and Gibraltar in search of reliable sunshine hotspots. The Canary Islands of Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Tenerife, along with city-breaks to Barcelona, are proving hugely popular this summer with a 40% increase in bookings on these routes compared to the same period last year. Gibraltar is also proving to be the destination of choice with a 22% increase in bookings compared to summer 2009, as well as Larnaca in Cyprus where bookings have increased by 11%.
