Manchester Airports second runway is set to close for three weeks in February for scheduled engineering works.
The closure will come from February 5th to February 29th. This means that all aircraft will take off and land on runway 1.
The airport is adamant that there should not be significant disruption as February is traditionally a quieter period when it comes to travel.
The airport wants the work done now so that it is ready well in time for the peak summer months.
The work on the runway is said to be important but routine.
