New food court at Manchester Airport

Manchester Airport is currently undergoing a £35 million redevelopment and the first phase has just been completed in the form of a new food and bar area in terminal 1. This was opened by Coronation Street actress Jane Danson.

There is now a lot more on offer to passengers such as Lancashire Hotpot, pints and even luxury sit-down meals. You will find bars, pubs, restaurarants and cafes. There are also still the fast food options if thats what you enjoy.

You can now look out over the runway while enjoying the fine dining in the restaurants. Phase 1 has led to the airports retail director saying that he expects more than 5 million passengers a year through the food court.

The food court is just the first part of the redevelopment as shops and bars and restaurants are set to be moved to after security due to new security restrictions being put in place.
