ar05_pg20_02.jpgPassengers flying in economy class on long-haul flights with Thomas Cook next year will benefit from extra legroom.

The seat pitches are now 30 inches but will be increased to 33 inches by May 2008.

The increase in legroom will happen on all Thomas Cook and MyTravel aircrafts as this becomes part of Thomas Cook in March.

TripAdvisor organised a poll which revealed that most passengers value legroom above everything else and would pay extra for more space.

It is now being argued that airlines with the smallest amount of legroom, such as Monarch, should increase the distance between seats.
