If you have a booking with us which you believe may be affected by the failure of the XL Leisure Group (including Freedom Flights and Medlife Hotels), please read the following information:

Please check your booking confirmation, and look for the line beginning “Principal”. This will be shown in the top right area of either your online or posted booking confirmation.

If the principal for your flight is “Freedom Flights” then you will receive a full refund from the CAA for the total cost of your flight. Please download a copy of the claim form by clicking the following link:

Freedom Flights CAA Claim Form

Please note that to open the claim form, you will need a PDF reader. Adobe Acrobat Reader can be downloaded for free from adobe.com

Please make sure that you post the completed claim form back to Flightline, using the following address:

Freedom Flights CAA Claims,
Flightline House,
32-38 Milton Road,
Westcliff-on-Sea,
Essex,
SS0 7JE

In the meantime, you will need to re-book your flight, and we suggest doing this via our website at http://www.flightline.co.uk as we anticipate that our call centres will be extremely busy.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to refund you directly for your flight, or transfer any payments to a new flight booking. All refund requests must be made using the CAA claim form above.

If the principal for your accommodation is Medlife, unfortunately your accommodation is now null and void. We are hopeful, however, that we will be able to transfer or refund payments made against Medlife Hotels Limited bookings where the check-in date is on or after today.

You will now need to make a new hotel reservation with a different hotel provider.

We strongly recommend you book through this through our website at www.flightline.co.uk without delay as there will be many travellers seeking new accommodation as a result of this failure and availability will be limited.

Contacting us

If you wish to contact us regarding your booking, please be aware that our telephone lines will be extremely busy for the next few days and you may experience lengthy delays in getting through.

If you are abroad and your flight home has been affected

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) are repatriating all passengers currently overseas due to fly back to the UK on XL Airways. We do not currently have details of their arrangements, but will make them available to our customers as soon as possible. Should you require further information immediately, please contact the CAA directly on 0870 590 0927 (+44 (0) 2891 856547 from abroad).

The CAA has released updated information regarding repatriation flights. Please click here for full information.
